“Wasted at the bar with pals”: Taylor Swift is shaken and Travis Kelce has to step up to protect her amid recent controversies

After a period of reflection, Travis Kelce is set to return to the Kansas City Chiefs for his 13th NFL season — but that is hardly the only tough decision he has to make this offseason.

Kelce also has to “deal” with the fallout from the Chiefs’ humiliating Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, which came with collateral damage in his life. Kelce’s pop superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift was booed throughout the Super Bowl in New Orleans — and after a recent romantic getaway, a quiet determination has set in with respect to the couple’s future together.

Kelce, Swift to limit public appearances

Much of the 2024 NFL season took place while Swift was on tour; as a result, until the Super Bowl, she only watched Kelce and the Chiefs play in Kansas City. The Caesars Superdome was not a safe place for Swift, who was reportedly left “shaken” after receiving copious jeers…and taunts from president Donald Trump after the game.

The Super Bowl incidents have led to the first “bump in the road” for the couple, who began dating in 2023 and have batted aside marriage rumors ever since.

“Things have definitely taken a weird turn for her and Travis – hello, first big bump in their otherwise fun romance,” an insider revealed to Radar Online. “They’ve been having some seriously awkward chats with their teams about when they should step out in public and what the vibe should even be like. Talk about taking the romance out of the relationship.”

Swift’s dedication and toughness are major factors when analyzing how she has become arguably the most famous woman on the planet. The insider said though that Swift, 35, feels that she has to maintain a low profile for the time being — which could negatively affect her relationship with Kelce, also 35, who loves to be in front of the cameras.

“Let’s be real, Taylor is not one to back down easily,” the insider said. “But with all this hate coming from the public lately, it’s leaving her a little shaken. Friends and family are on high alert, worried about the couple and hoping they can navigate through this tricky phase in their love saga.”
