Mayor Wansley said Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are chasing history. Super Bowl Sunday is Feb. 9.  “Now therefore, I James Wansley, mayor of the city of Whitehouse, do hereby proclaim Sunday, February the ninth, 2025, to be Patrick Mahomes day in the city of Whitehouse,” said Mayor Wansley.

For the fifth time in six years, Super Bowl Sunday will be known as “Patrick Mahomes Day” in the city of Whitehouse. No matter how many times it happens, Mayor Wansley says that its always worth celebrating Mahomes’ accomplishments, especially a Super Bowl appearance, because he serves as an excellent role model for the entire community to look up to.

“I mean this is something that is new and exciting every time. You would think, you know… been there done that. But it’s fun every time, and especially this time because Patrick has the opportunity at winning back-to-back-to-back Super Bowls, which would be the first time that’s done by a quarterback in NFL history,” said Wansley.

Wansley said it right there, Mahomes and the Chiefs are chasing history, but we need to wait a bit to see if they get it. Super Bowl Sunday is next Sunday, February ninth.
